The MCP

Your agent builds the CRM. You talk.

CRM Builder is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server with typed tools. Connect Claude Code, claude.ai, Codex, Cursor or VS Code, sign in once in your browser, and the agent does the setup that a CRM makes you do by hand.

Paste this into your agent

Set me up for the GTM OS. Read the full instructions at https://crm-builder.com/agent-setup/prompt.md (with curl -fsSL when you can run commands) and follow them.
Create your workspace →You need an invite code.

What happens after you paste the line

  1. The agent reads the instructions. They are plain text files on this site. You can read them too: prompt.md, skill.md, concepts.md, tool-guide.md and connect.md.
  2. You sign in in your browser. The agent connects with OAuth. No key is pasted into a chat.
  3. You pick the workspace and the scopes. Read is always on. You tick each write scope on the consent page.
  4. The agent asks you about your business and shows you each draft before it saves it. A write tool never overwrites a field that has a value, and it never deletes a record.
  5. You can revoke the agent at any time on Settings > MCP access, which also lists each call that it made under your name.

The tools, by scope

Before a workspace exists

Scope: an invite code

  • Make the workspace, with you as its admin, from your invite code, your company name and the CRM you use now.

Read

Scope: read, always on

  • The 13 setup items of the workspace: done or not, and the page that sets each one.
  • Your strategy, personas, spokespeople and outreach context.
  • Your prospect types and ICP groups, with the companies and contacts each group holds.
  • Companies and contacts, with a search and a duplicate check.
  • The LinkedIn posts you track, the people who engaged with each one, and the profiles you follow.
  • Your content feeds, your email campaigns and their statistics.

Set up

Scope: setup:write

  • Write the strategy: pillars, principles, messaging, vision and mission.
  • Write and update personas, spokespeople, ICP groups and prospect types.
  • Make a writing style fingerprint from samples of your writing.
  • Import resources: the documents and pages that the drafter can cite.

Contacts

Scope: contacts:write

  • Import contacts in batches of up to 50, with a duplicate check first.
  • Set the personas of a contact.

Content

Scope: content:write

  • Feed documents, notes and pages into the content feed, and review each feed item.
  • Attach a content feed to a campaign, or a profile to a feed, and start or stop a sync.

Each result has facts, and can have inferences and a list of fields that were not found. A field that was not found is not an empty field. The full list is in the tool guide.

Why an MCP, and not a chat box in the CRM

Your agent already knows you

It has your files, your notes and your past conversations. A chat box inside a CRM starts from nothing each time.

One agent, many tools

The same agent can read your inbox, your calendar and the MVPR MCP for your press coverage, and set the CRM up from all of it.

Typed tools, not a prompt

Each tool has an input shape, a scope and text limits. The agent cannot write outside them, and you see what it kept and what it wrote.

For scripts: a workspace key

A script with no browser uses a key. Open Settings > MCP access, make a key with the scopes that the script needs, and call the workspace endpoint with it. The key shows 1 time. The steps are in connect.md.
